The 2026 Manly Wade Wellman Award for North Carolina Science Fiction and Fantasy covers science fiction and fantasy novels published in 2025 by North Carolina authors. As in previous years, the eligibility list was maintained in the form of a Goodreads bookshelf.

Monday, June 15, 2026: The longlist of 34 quarter-finalists was announced.

Monday, June 22, 2026: The shortlist of 20 semi-finalists was announced.

Monday, June 29, 2026: The list of 10 finalists was announced.

Friday, July 17, 2026: The winner was announced as part of the opening ceremonies at ConGregate 12, namely Transmentation: Transience by Darkly Lem, published by Blackstone Publishing:
